FAQ
What is the drug abuse and substance abuse self-exclusion program?
ProblemPill.com created this program to help individuals with a drug abuse or substance abuse problem to voluntarily limit access to “Problem” web sites. We accomplish this through a powerful Internet filtering program, which will attempt to guard the individual's computer from accessing websites that allow them to purchase perscription and nonperscription drugs online.
What types of web sites are "Problem" web sites?
We try to block access to any web site offering drug purchasing opportunities and also to websites that distribute pro-drug abuse and pro-substance abuse related information. This includes, but is not limited to, online pharmacies, online drug distributors, and sellers of drug paraphernalia. For a full listing of the specific type of information we attempt to block Click Here.
With any type of filtering program, ours may not be 100% effective in blocking all drug and substance abuse related information. Furthermore, we do not guarantee that all drug and substance abuse related information will be blocked. If by some chance you notice content "Over Blocking" or content "Under Blocking," you can
Contact Us, telling us the address of the web site in question. We will examiner the web site's content, and if necessary adjust and update our filtering algorithm. In most instances we will adjust and update our filtering algorithm within 24 hours.
How do I sign up to the drug abuse and substance abuse self-exclusion program?
You must purchase a service subscription in our Sign Up section. You will be required to provide some personal information along with a service fee for either a one (1) month exclusion, a six (6) month exclusion, or a twelve (12) month exclusion. You will then gain access to a download link and installation instructions. Our Internet filter is completely private, spy ware and virus free, with no embedded advertising.
Can I remove the Internet filter during the self-exclusion period?
ProblemPill.com will not provide a subscriber with an uninstallation key during an active exclusion period. However, you may cancel your service subscription and after the exclusion period expires the filter will automatically become inactive.
What will happen if I try to purchase drugs online after I download and activate the Internet filter?
If you attempt to access the type of harmful information we block, a block message will appear, and the web site will not load.
What is the sponsorship program?
The sponsorship program is an optional feature that is included with your service subscription. During installation, you will be given the option to enter an email address of a "sponsor" of your choice. During browsing, if you repeatedly attempt to access blocked information, the Internet filter will send a message to your sponsor notifying them of your attempt. This is espically useful for parents who are attempting to monitor their children drug related surfing habits
We do not have access or maintain any records of your browsing history; the contents of the message will be generic. The message is generated by your Internet filter and sent only to your sponsor.
How do I cancel my service subscription?
We're sorry you want to cancel your service subscription. In order to not be re-billed, you must cancel your service subscription through Paypal. For detailed instructions on how to cancel a Paypal subscription or for additional cancellation assistance, please email us at cancel@stopaddict.com.
If you cancel your service subscription, you will not be re-billed, however the Internet filter will be active until your exclusion period has expired. Once cancelled and expired, the Internet filter will automatically uninstall. Cancellations may take up to 24 hours to process.
